Grand Canyon Float 2001
Page 1 of 3. « Previous | [1] 2 3 | Next » August 2001. My uncle David waited 11 years to get a private permit to float the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. I was lucky enough to be invited along, and joined him and 15 others for 18 days on the water. It was an absolutely amazing trip. Words really do not do it justice. I absolutely love river trips, and this was easily the river trip of all river trips. Huge water, gorgeous impossibly steep canyons, waterfalls, hot sun. Getting off the river, I was very very close to going back to Flagstaff and finding a guiding company and signing up to row baggage boats. I still might someday...
