Texas, June 2008
Page 1 of 2. « Previous | [1] 2 | Next » Mollie and I flew down to Texas for a visit in mid-June. We flew into Austin and stayed with David and Jason the first night. Seattle had been miserably cold and gray the few weeks prior to our trip, so the 96 degree heat when we walked out of the Austin airport at 6 PM was a (mostly pleasant) shock. David and Jason took us to Barton Springs that evening for an exhilarating swim, then we had a great dinner at Fino. The next day we drove to Granny, aunt Kay and uncle Tom's home in Fredericksburg. Sarah was already there, and Brent and Sherri, Courtney, Sandy and Jana, David and Jason, Jill, and Anne's family (Clint, Jake, Molly, Clara) all came too. We had tasty BBQ, homemade ice cream, and the famous Major margaritas. One morning some of us drove over to Enchanted Rock and climbed around, before it got too hot. We also got to see Brent and Sherri's new land outside Fredericksburg. Finally, Mollie and I spent our last night in San Antonio, at a hotel on the riverwalk. We had a great meal at Boudro's and explored the nooks and crannies of the riverwalk. | |
