Texas Hill Country, December 2003 I spent Christmas holidays at aunt Kay and uncle Tom's place in Fredericksburg, in the Texas hill country. They run a bed-and-breakfast on the property in a refurbished 1800's log cabin called the Happy Trails Guesthouse, and that is where my sister, cousin, and I got to stay. My grandmother recently moved from Nocona to another house on the property, and we were treated to more of her excellent cooking and conversation. Mom and I also spent an afternoon climbing around the rocks at Enchanted Rock State Park, a few miles outside of Fredericksburg.
