Enchantments backpacking, September 2006 After our 2003 Enchantments trip, Chad and I were itching to go back. We managed to score permits for early September 2006, and Becca and Mollie were eager to join. We planned 4 nights, 5 days, but ended up coming out on the 4th day because it looked like a big storm might be coming in. Other than that, we had gorgeous weather, and a fantastic time. Last time we pushed from the parking lot all the way to Leprechaun Lake on the 1st day. This time we hiked to Snow Lake the first day, then into the Enchantments the 2nd day. That's a nice way to do it, if you have at least 4 days for the trip. As always, the Enchantments is a highly recommended backpacking destination (plan early and get your permit app in).
